1999: Allentown Ambassadors outfielder Steve Walker ties a Northern League record with three home runs and sets a league mark with nine RBIs in an 18-7 victory over Quebec City at Bicentennial Park.

1994: Tom Stoudt opens a 10-run third inning with a three-run homer, then caps the frame with a two-run shot to spark East Side Memorial to a 13-1 Lehigh Valley League Legion baseball win at Salisbury. The homers give Stoudt 11 in 20 games.

1961: Lehigh University awards almost $900,000 in contracts for construction of playing fields, parking and other facilities in the first phase of development of its 500-acre site in Upper Saucon Township. The university, which obtained the site through land trades with Bethlehem and Bethlehem Steel, plans to build a football stadium as well as an arena for basketball, wrestling and ice hockey on the site.

1961: Norm Koch continues his dominating pitching for Bethlehem Legion by striking out 22 in an eight-inning no-hitter, a 1-0 win over Pen Argyl in a game called by darkness. Koch allows just three baserunners, two on walks and one on a strikeout/wild pitch.
