Seafood restaurant chain nearing completion of fourth Lehigh Valley location

An emerging franchise of seafood restaurants continues to blanket the Lehigh Valley.

Flaming Crab Cajun Seafood, offering fresh fish, shrimp, mussels and more, is expected to open its fourth area location within the next few weeks at 2411 Nazareth Road in Palmer Township, franchisee Eddie Zhang said.

Customers of the Palmer restaurant will be able to order at the counter or choose a full-service dining experience with a server, Zhang said.

“We’re going to offer both ways of dining,” Zhang explained.

Flaming Crab’s menu includes appetizers such as steamed oysters, hush puppies and breaded and unbreaded chicken wings; fried baskets such as catfish, tilapia and chicken tenders; and sides such as sweet potato fries, corn-on-the-cob and steamed rice. “Like a fish market, we’re going to put all of the seafood in a refrigerated display for show,” Zhang said. “There will be fresh seafood right in front of the customer that they can pick and we will cook it fresh for them. They can pick fresh fish, crab, lobster, whatever they want on-the-spot, and we’ll make it fresh.”
