An Upper Macungie Township distribution and fulfillment center once again plans to hire 200 more warehouse workers, with pay starting at $23 hourly.

Wisconsin-based Uline is hosting a hiring event from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday at its facility, 700 Uline Way. Job seekers must register online here and follow guidelines set forth by state health officials and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

New warehouse positions start at $23 hourly or more, including a $5-per-hour essential-worker bonus, the company said. It also offers long-term bonuses, totaling $7,000.

Branch Manager Tim McDonough said the Upper Macungie site in 2020 hired 195 new employees and wanted to hire even more for 2021. It launched a similar initiative this past February to hire 200 more workers.

“Despite the challenges of COVID-19, Uline continues to see substantial growth thanks to the hard work of our employees and our ability to supply companies with the products they need to stay open,” McDonough said.

The company offers same-day shipping on more than 37,500 products from its more than 800-page catalog and e-commerce website. The family-owned business began four decades ago, becoming a leading distributor of shipping, industrial and packaging materials to businesses throughout North America. It has more than 7,000 employees across 12 facilities.
